BEYOND EMPATHY IN UX:
What Technologists Need to Know As They Develop & Design or Human Tech (March 23, 2023)

Designing experiences for users with empathy is a typical UX goal. But most of the time, the psychological and societal ramifications of such goals aren't always as clear or considered, either during and/or as outcomes of the interface and product development process.

This session helps both experience designers and appdev folks alike to develop a more robust understanding of the increasingly vital role they play within the human-machine collaboration paradigm. The session also aims to peel eyes (and hearts) wide open to protect and nurture user well being and human autonomy amidst a world where the erosion of human-centeredness across cybertechnologies is on the rise.
